What is PDF Rotate?

Rotate every page of a PDF in the same direction. Most commonly used to fix PDFs that came out sideways — like when you scan a document with your phone in landscape mode, or when a scanner misrecognized the orientation. The rotated PDF keeps original text and quality, so printing, searching, and editing all work normally.

How to use

  1. 1.Drag a PDF onto the drop zone, or click to select.
  2. 2.Choose a rotation: Clockwise (90°), Upside down (180°), or Counter-clockwise (270°).
  3. 3.Click 'Rotate' — the rotated PDF downloads automatically.

Use cases

  • Fix documents scanned in landscape mode by phone
  • Rotate PDFs that scanners saved sideways
  • Adjust PDF orientation for print output
  • Change presentation slide orientation
  • Fix orientation of old fax document PDFs

Frequently asked questions

Q. Can I rotate just specific pages?

Currently all pages rotate in the same direction. If you need to rotate only some pages, use the PDF Split tool to extract those pages first, then rotate them separately.

Q. Is text searchable after rotation?

Yes. Rotation only changes the display orientation; the underlying text and metadata are preserved exactly.

Q. Can I rotate an already-rotated PDF again?

Yes. New rotations stack on top of existing ones — for example, rotating a 90°-rotated PDF by 90° again results in 180° total.

Q. Does rotation reduce PDF quality?

No. Rotation is lossless — it modifies metadata only, not pixel data. Quality is 100% preserved.

Q. Are files uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens entirely in your browser.
